Prerequisite: None, however, HIT - 210 Basic Medical Insurance and Coding, or experience in medical coding, is highly desirable.
Corequisite: HSC - 120 Medical Terminology I and HSC - 150 Body Structure and Function.
A study of the International Classification of Disease (ICD-10-CM) codes, using sample exercises and health records to develop skill and accuracy in coding guidelines required at health care settings.
