LIT - 130 African American Literature

Prerequisite: ENG - 105 Composition I, or comparable course, or approval of instructor.
A study of the writings of major African Americans from 1900 to contemporary times. Short stories, poetry, plays, and novels will be studied as works of literature. Discussion and writing will focus on the critical analysis of the works.
