PHY - 222 Classical Physics II

Prerequisite: PHY - 212 Classical Physics I , with a grade of C or higher, or equivalent, or permission of instructor.
Corequisite: MAT - 216 Calculus II , or prior completion of MAT - 216 Calculus II .
Second semester of two-semester calculus-based sequence intended for students majoring in engineering, physics, chemistry, or other sciences. Emphasizes electric fields and electricity, electric circuits, and magnetic fields and magnetism. It also includes material on waves and optics, and on additional topics as time allows. This course, like other general education science courses, addresses the general education skills of scientific literacy and critical thinking.
