The Business Division offers a wide variety of options including certificates, diplomas, and degrees that provide students an opportunity to choose a career that best matches their skill-set. Design of the curriculum offers a core set of courses that gives students the flexibility to make choices on career direction without the need to start over, as well as the ability to advance from a diploma into a degree seamlessly. With correct planning, many students graduate with multiple degrees with little or no added cost.

NIACC instructors are highly qualified and credentialed, and provide learning instruction in multiple formats to meet the diverse needs of today’s learner. Students have the flexibility to choose between face-to-face courses, online courses, and hybrid courses that combine both face-to-face and online learning. Class sizes are relatively small, ensuring optimal learning opportunities and one-on-one assistance. The Business Division constantly works to keep programs current and relevant so students are prepared with the skills they need for the workforce.

Because partnerships exist with local businesses and high schools, students benefit from internship opportunities by gaining hands-on experience while receiving college credit. The majority of internships are paid experiences. Students also have the ability to receive college credit in high school through our Career Link program.

There are 16 business-specific scholarship opportunities available to business students and 3 business-oriented student organizations—Cyber Defense, Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization, and Investment Club. Our Information Technology cluster is affiliated with CISCO, CCNA, COMPTIA, Microsoft, Linux, Palo Alto Firewall, and EMC2.
