ELT - 133 Electric Motor Drives

Prerequisite: ELT - 210 Motor Control Circuits or instructor approval.
This course is designed to familiarize students with AC general-purpose variable speed drives, AC vector (spindle) drives, and AC servo drives. A sound understanding of fundamental concepts related to feedback control systems, their operation and behavior, and familiarity with system components, is essential for students with a desire to work in this challenging field.
