PSY - 281 Educational Psychology (3 s.h.)
Prerequisite: Education majors must take PSY - 121 Developmental Psychology , or non-Education majors must take PSY - 223 Child and Adolescent Psychology Educational psychology applies the accumulated knowledge of human cognition and behavior from the field of psychology to the theory and practice of teaching and learning. Course content includes a survey of theories associated with motivation, classroom management, and learning. This course will be taught from a research perspective to facilitate student comprehension of teaching theories and how they can be applied in the classroom.
