PTA - 203 PTA Therapeutic Exercise

Prerequisite: PTA - 190 Physical Agents.
Corequisite: PTA - 162 PTA Assessment Procedures.
This course studies the physiological effect of exercise on the musculoskeletal system. Physical therapy treatment techniques to improve strength and flexibility are presented. Appropriate selection, instruction, and progression of exercise into a treatment session are discussed. Students will practice techniques in lab including aquatic therapy. Components of a wellness program will also be discussed.
