MAT - 153 Math for Elementary Teachers I

Prerequisite: MAT - 092 Intermediate Algebra with a grade of C or higher or an ALEKS score of 38 or higher.
This course focuses on the fundamental mathematical concepts taught by K-6 teachers. Students will develop and use mathematical tools for reasoning, pattern recognition, problem solving, and communication. Specific topics covered include the sets of numbers, arithmetic operations with rational numbers represented as fractions, decimals and percent, probability, and statistics.
