WEL - 275 Shielded Metal Arc Welding II: SENSE1

Prerequisite: IND - 190 Skills and Safety in Industry and WEL - 274 Shielded Metal Arc Welding I: SENSE1 or instructor approval.
This course emphasizes safety, amperage settings, polarity selection, and electrode choice for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Students perform American Welding Society–compliant welds on carbon steel in vertical-up, vertical-down, and overhead positions and evaluate weld quality using visual and destructive methods.
