SOC - 240 Criminology

Prerequisites: SOC - 110 Introduction to Sociology  or SOC - 115 Social Problems  
Criminology surveys the history, nature, and causes of crime. The extent of criminal patterns, an analysis of investigative processes, and organizational prosecution like correctional procedures and methods are emphasized. The organizational structure of prison systems are examined in relation to other social problems. The changes in classifications of cyber, property, white color, organized, public order and violent crimes are also examined.
