Industrial Automation & Robotics Technology, A.A.S.


Industrial Automation & Robotics Technology is an Associate in Applied Science Degree program designed to prepare the graduate for immediate employment with foundational knowledge in electronics, electrical, PLCs, industrial motor controls, system integration, automation and robotics. Prepare yourself with the skill set necessary to meet the needs of a world that continues to automate processes, especially the manufacturing environment.

Important Qualities

Critical, creative thinking - In addition to setting up systems, technicians will be called upon to figure out why a system isn’t working. In many cases the technician will need to use creativity and ingenuity to resolve the issue.

Teamwo​rk - Technicians can expect to work with engineers, project managers, product developers and user experts.

Troubleshooting skills - Technicians will observe, diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems that a machine or system may be having.

Upon successful completion of the Industrial Automation & Robotics Technology curriculum with a grade point average of 2.00 (C) or higher, the student is awarded an Associate in Applied Science Degree.
