Tool and Die Technology, A.A.S.


Get ready for the next level in technical precision with our Tool and Die Technology Degree program!

Building on the foundation laid by the General Machinist Diploma, this five-semester journey propels you into the fascinating realm of high-precision industrial dies and molds.  Tool and die manufacturing is not just a process; it is an art form where precision meets creativity.

Get hands-on with cutting-edge computer-aided design, creating intricate molds, dies, and other tools.  Then, unleash your creativity with CNC programming software, transforming your designs into reality with precision CNC machining equipment. 

As you immerse yourself into this program, you will learn various techniques and applications in order to utilize CNC machine tools like a pro and build tooling like a journeyman.

Upon successful completion of the General Machinist curriculum with a grade point average of 2.00 (C) or higher, the student is awarded an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Program graduates are prepared to work in the “tool room” of area manufacturers or to work for a specialty tool and die shop producing dies and molds for a large variety of production machines in our area.
