The Coaching Authorization Program equips individuals with the essential knowledge and skills needed to coach athletes at various levels. It fulfills the state‑required 55‑hour workshop certificate for a coaching authorization. This comprehensive course covers key components of effective coaching, including: structure and function of the human body, prevention and care of athletic injuries, human growth and development, and coaching theory, methods, and ethics. This program is ideal for anyone seeking to coach, whether paid or volunteer, in K–12 schools, recreational leagues, or community sports clubs. This certification meets the state requirements only for the 55‑hour workshop certificate needed for a coaching authorization. It does not meet the state requirements for a K–12 coaching endorsement (for licensed teachers) and does not qualify for college credit.
