Criminal Justice Certificate
|
|
The Criminal Justice certificate provides students with a basic introduction to the criminal justice system. The certificate can supplement/support a career or degree in criminal justice or be obtained in preparation for entry-level positions in criminal justice-related fields such as court clerks, paralegals (in addition to their paralegal training), and administrative assistants for law firms, police departments, and more. Students with a degree or career in an unrelated field can also obtain the certificate in order to broaden their field of expertise. For those undecided on their future career path, the certificate provides an overview of the criminal justice system and can help the student determine whether they want to begin their career right away or continue on to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree or a Bachelor’s degree in a specialized field at another institution.
