*CHM - 166 General Chemistry I  may be a better fit for some students, depending on their major. For example, students planning on attending veterinary school should take CHM-166.

**Appropriate math level needed before enrolling in any math class.

***Some Agriculture majors require BIO - 202 Biology I  and BIO - 203 Biology II  instead of BIO - 102 Introductory Biology . It is recommended to take BIO-202 and BIO-203 at the same institution to avoid transfer issues. Some Agriculture majors require PHY - 106 Survey of Physics  .

  • AA degree meets the General Education Requirements for the College of Liberal Arts at most transfer institutions.
  • Check with transfer institution for Foreign Language Requirement.
  • Admission requirements vary from institution to institution. Contact the transfer institution or check with a NIACC counselor/advisor for assistance.
  • Suggested schedule dependent on entry level of student.

  • A maximum of 65 credits of community college credits can be transferred to Iowa State University.

  • A student who takes the above recommended transfer courses will be eligible to receive the B.S. degree in Ag Business from Iowa State by taking enough additional courses at Iowa State to a) reach 120 total credits and b) satisfy all remaining degree requirements within those 120 total credits.

  • To determine if or how alternative courses will transfer, a student should contact the ISU Ag Business program office (515-294-5436).
