*Appropriate math level needed before enrolling in any math class. If you are planning in majoring in speech Pathology, Business Communication, or a politically-based speech major, you will need to take a research based mathematics that may include the following: MAT - 140 Finite Math , MAT - 156 Introduction to Statistics , MAT - 161 Business Statistics , or MAT - 165 Calculus (Business) .

**If transferring to Iowa State University, consider courses from U.S. Diversity/International Perspectives. If transferring to the University of Iowa, consider courses from the General Education lists of International & Global Issues; Literary, Visual, and Performing Arts; and Values, Society, and Diversity.

^If transferring to University of Northern Iowa, consider HIS - 254 American Indian History   HIS - 260 Latin American History and Culture  (fulfills Non-Western Culture requirement).
