ART - 174 Ceramics II (3 s.h.)
Prerequisites: ART - 173 Ceramics This course instructs students in the use of advanced hand-building, wheel throwing and glazing techniques to create both sculptural and functional ceramics ranging from teapots to abstract sculptures. Students will further develop previously acquired hand-building and wheel throwing skills in addition to learning advanced glazing techniques such as the application of precious metallic lusters. Also, this course emphasizes individual style, production techniques, and art concepts.
