MFG - 424 Jig and Fixtures

Prerequisites: MFG - 208 Machine Theory II; MFG - 231 Machine Operations II with a grade of C or higher; MFG - 302 CNC Fundamentals; or instructor approval.
Corequisites: MFG - 320 Computer Aided Machining; MFG - 411 Progressive Die Design.
This course covers the theory of design and machining practices as they relate to jigs and fixtures used in manufacturing facilities. It introduces students to the importance of jig and fixture classification and to their uses in modern machine tools.
