AVI - 307 Instrument Instructor Ground School

(3 s.h.)

Prerequisite: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating (or higher) in the appropriate category and class.
Corequisite: AVI - 308 Instrument Instructor Flight Lab  
This course provides advanced ground training for pilots seeking the Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFII) certificate, with a focus on both technical instrument knowledge and the craft of instruction. Topics include fundamentals of instructing, instrument flight rules (IFR) regulations and procedures, aircraft instruments and navigation systems, weather and IFR flight planning, ATC communication, approaches, and scenario-based risk management for instrument students.
