HIT - 242 Coding I (ICD-10)

Prerequisites: None, however, HIT - 210 Basic Medical Insurance and Coding or experience in medical coding is highly desirable.
Corequisite: HSC - 120 Medical Terminology I and HSC - 150 Body Structure and Function.
This course will provide the student with an overview of medical health insurance claims submission guidelines and basic coding procedures. In addition, the student will work through a number of relevant case studies.
