MFG - 380 EDM Fundamentals

Prerequisites: MFG - 110 3-D Modeling; MFG - 320 Computer Aided Machining; MFG - 411 Progressive Die Design; MFG - 424 Jig and Fixtures; or instructor approval.
Corequisites: MFG - 407 Basic Die Making; or instructor approval.
This course introduces students to wire and ram electrical discharge machines (EDM). Emphasis will be placed on how these tools are used in the manufacturing of punch and die components and injection mold cores and cavities.
