WEL - 250 Welding Automation

Prerequisites: IND - 190 Skills and Safety in Industry, WEL - 244 Gas Metal Arc Welding Short Circuit Transfer: SENSE1, and WEL - 262 Thermal Cutting Processes I - Manual and Mechanized OxyFuel Cutting: SENSE1 or instructor approval.
This course introduces automation in the welding industry, focusing on robotic welding arms and CNC plasma cutting tables. Students learn to program, set up, and operate automated welding and cutting equipment, with emphasis on safety, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance procedures.
