The Physical Fitness and Wellness Diploma provides a foundation for individuals interested in becoming a personal trainer and/or working in a fitness setting. This program helps prepare students for a career in helping others achieve their fitness goals. Upon completion of the program, students are encouraged to take a National Certification Exam to become a certified personal trainer. National Certification is available through the American Council of Exercise (ACE).
Certified personal trainers may find employment working with people of all ages in individual or group settings at a variety of places, such as health and fitness centers, gyms, nonprofit organizations, wellness centers, or hospitals and clinics.
Upon successful completion of the Physical Fitness and Wellness curriculum with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 (C) or higher, the student is awarded a Diploma.
