MFG - 137 Machinist Math I

Corequisites: IND - 190 Skills and Safety in Industry; MFG - 100 Measurement and Inspection; MFG - 120 Machine Trade Printreading I; MFG - 225 Machine Theory I; MFG - 226 Machine Operations I; or instructor approval.
This course begins with a review of fractions and decimals as they are used to solve shop problems. Students are introduced to problems involving powers and roots, tapers, and angles. The use of the calculator is introduced, along with Machinery’s Handbook tables and formulas.
