Corequisites: IND - 190 Skills and Safety in Industry; MFG - 120 Machine Trade Printreading I; MFG - 137 Machinist Math I or MAT - 801 Applied Math A and MAT - 802 Applied Math B; MFG - 225 Machine Theory I; MFG - 226 Machine Operations I; or instructor approval.
This course is an introduction to precision measurement and inspection tools. Students will use hand tools, gauges, and other measurement systems to inspect parts. Basic math and measurement systems will be discussed, including: fractions, metric units, and decimals.
