MFG - 110 3-D Modeling

Prerequisite: IND - 190 Skills and Safety in Industry ; MFG - 100 Measurement and Inspection ; MFG - 120 Machine Trade Printreading I ; MFG - 137 Machinist Math I  or MAT - 801 Applied Math A  and MAT - 802 Applied Math B ; MFG - 225 Machine Theory I ; MFG - 226 Machine Operations I ; or permission of instructor.
Corequisites: MFG - 130 Machine Trade Printreading II MFG - 138 Machinist Math II  or MAT - 803 Applied Math C  and MAT - 804 Applied Math D MFG - 208 Machine Theory II MFG - 231 Machine Operations II MFG - 302 CNC Fundamentals ; or instructor approval. 
Students are introduced to solid modeling as an essential tool to utilize and enhance designing skills. This is accomplished through the generation of computer aided 3-D drawings. Basic computer skills, including file storage and retrieval, 2-dimensional sketching, and 3-dimensional extrusions will be covered.
